Dr. McDavitt is a Physician Executive specializing in healthcare strategy and business development. With over 15 years of experience, he has played key roles in transforming healthcare organizations. His expertise spans care delivery, insurance operations, and emerging technologies, working with well known companies such as Salesforce, Commure, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, while continuing to serve as a practicing physician in the United States.
Dr. McDavitt holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the Arizona College of Medicine and completed his medical residency in New York City. He also pursued Business Strategy and Finance during his Master's of Business Administration from the Marriott Business School at Brigham Young University. This blend of medical, product, and business knowledge allows him to bridge the gap between clinical requirements and strategic operations, identifying growth opportunities while addressing complex challenges faced by patients, providers, and organizations.
Initially practicing medicine full-time in New York City, Dr. McDavitt transitioned to healthcare and life science consulting, serving diverse stakeholders including payers, providers, pharmaceutical companies, public health organizations, and medical device companies. With a focus on providing powerful technology solutions, he ventured into the information technology space to enable healthcare professionals and organizations worldwide to achieve more impactful, efficient, accessible, and affordable healthcare.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Dr. McDavitt led the development of strategic care pathways for Wheel Health (virtual care), oversaw generative AI product development for medical documentation and bulk document intake for Commure, led payer and provider global GTM strategy at Salesforce, served as Senior Clinical Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer at the Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA) for electronic health record modernization and provider and patient service operations, and directed numerous digital transformations at payer, provider, and life-science organizations while at PwC.
Dr. McDavitt joined ServiceNow about four years ago as Physician Executive and lead global GTM and industry strategy for Payers and Providers, focusing on establishing ServiceNow within core business operations. This includes patient, provider, and administrative operations and services, care management delivery (aged care/care coordination), discharge planning and management and medical device management, health IT ops.
On a personal note, Dr. McDavitt and his wife Rebecca reside in Spring Lake, Utah, where they enjoy the great outdoors and regularly participate in long-distance running events throughout the year, enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and love to travel.
