Organizations often modernize platforms and improve processes within individual business functions. While these investments create meaningful value, they can also expose a larger question: how do autonomous functions come together to deliver connected outcomes across the enterprise?

Export Development Canada (EDC) is exploring that question today. Having established modern platform foundations within key business areas, EDC is now assessing what comes next. How do organizations move beyond functional success toward enterprise journeys? How do they connect workflows, establish shared ownership, and create a service delivery model organized around the needs of employees and customers rather than departmental boundaries?

In this session, EDC will share perspectives from its modernization journey, including the opportunities, decisions, and organizational realities involved in moving toward a more connected enterprise. Together with its reinvention partner, the discussion will explore the maturity progression from functional applications to enterprise journeys, connected workflows, and ultimately AI-enabled outcomes.

Attendees will leave with practical insights to help assess their own organization's maturity, understand what must be true before enterprise value can be achieved, and identify the next steps required to advance their transformation journey.
