Wolfgang Hütter is an experienced IT risk and resilience expert with almost 30 years of professional experience in financial industry, information security, and Operational Risk Management. He currently serves as Group IT Risk Manager at Vienna Insurance Group one of the leading insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the group operates in around 30 countries and serves millions of customers through a large network of insurance companies and distribution partners.

Prior to this role, he spent a decade as Head of Operational Risk, leading OpRisk control initiatives, implementing internal control systems, and heading major regulatory and risk management projects. His background includes information security policy development, IT service management, telecommunications and network projects, and large-scale transformation initiatives. As a certified trainer, he has delivered seminars on operational risk management, business continuity, security management, and effective cooperation and communication. He holds an MBA in Executive Information and Communication Management and an MSc in Information Security Management. As frequent speaker at Austrian and international conferences, Wolfgang shares practical insights on IT risk, security management, operational resilience, and governance.
