As Chief Information Officer and First Assistant Secretary, Matthew Hay leads the Digital Delivery Services division within the Department of Home Affairs.

Matthew is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of contemporary ICT and digital solutions that support departmental business needs, priorities and
services. The division ensures systems are secure, scalable, and service-oriented, enabling efficient, information-centric operations across visa processing, citizenship pathways, traveller and trade management, national security and corporate functions.

Matthew has over 25 years’ experience in the public sector with a focus on IT program delivery, strategy and business transformation.
